Ti-6Al-7Nb is an alpha-beta titanium alloy very similar in properties and metallurgical behaviour to Ti-6Al-4V with the substitution of niobium for vanadium for improved biocompatibility.  It is widely used in the medical device industry with applications including total hip replacements, fracture fixation plates, spinal devices, screws and wires.
